As part of the cross-border project “Harmonization of Cardiovascular Diseases Management from Prevention to Heart Transplantation in the Cross-Border Area – SIPHEALTH”, General Hospital “Djordje Joanovic” Zrenjanin has successfully procured new, state-of-the-art medical equipment that will enhance the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular patients in the Central Banat District.
The newly acquired equipment includes:
- High-resolution treadmill for ergometric testing
- Biphasic defibrillator with four operating modes
- Automated CPR device
- Holter ECG and 24-hour blood pressure monitoring device
- Ultrasound machine for cardiological and vascular examinations, with two probes
This procurement marks a significant step in strengthening the hospital’s capacity for cardiovascular diagnostics, enabling faster and more accurate patient assessments, as well as a more efficient response in emergency situations.
The SIPHEALTH project is implemented in cooperation with the “Sveti Luka” General Hospital in Smederevo and the Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases in Timisoara, with financial support from the European Union through the Interreg IPA Romania–Serbia Cross-Border Cooperation Programme.
